This apparatus is a modified type of a corn plate viscometer. Compact body of the apparatus can operate for small amount of the sample. Small sample has an advantage of high response to the furnace temperature and of a small volume of the furnace. It means cheaper cost for the furnace. Measuring range of viscosity is in 102 to 105 poise.
